Job Description:

We are looking to hire a talented highly motivated technician to be part of our team. As a Process Technology Technician with Microchip you will test semiconductor devices for characterization modeling and reliability.

Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Learn the various reliability issues associated with semiconductors.

  • Learn and perform the basic measurement techniques for transistors (both bipolar and mosfets) diodes capacitors and resistors.

  • Become proficient in the operation of lab equipment such as source measurement units (SMUs) LCR meters (inductance (L) capacitance (C) Resistance (R)) digital multi meters oscilloscopes wafer probe stations and other specialized equipment used to test for ESD (electrostatic discharge) susceptibility etc.

  • Train on specialized software used to control the lab equipment.

  • Work with multi-discipline teams to aid in the development and testing of new and existing technologies.

  • Perform the upkeep of lab equipment track lab testing and report system status.

  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Prefer a minimum of (1) year relevant experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment with work experience from Quality and Reliability Laboratory Operations basic reliability testing tools.

  • Basic knowledge in Operation of Reliability/FA Processes and Equipment Self-motivated and goal oriented.

  • Team player & can communicate effectively with others.

  • Must have good interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Associates degree in electrical physics or computer engineering or other similarly oriented program preferred but not required.

The hourly pay range for this position which could be performed in the US is $17.00 - $32.69.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location skills and experience.
