Job Summary:The ADAP Investigator Supervisor oversees case advocacy staff conducting investigations and program monitoring activities. Reviews investigation monitoring and related casework of case advocacy staff to ensure compliance with ADAP practice standards and priorities. Provides guidance trains and/or supervises ADAP Investigators.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree and six (6) years of investigator experience working with adults and children with disabilities; OR masters degree and four (4) years of investigator experience working with adults and children with disabilities.
Skills and Knowledge:Ability to conduct coordinate and supervise complex investigations of abuse/neglect or rights violations affecting both adults and children with disabilities. Ability to conduct coordinate and supervise program monitoring to identify concerns affecting the safety well-being and rights of adult and children with disabilities. Demonstrated experience in employee supervision support and management. Experience in the disability rights movement and/or extensive contacts in the disability community. Experience working with or sensitivity to individuals from language and ethnic distinct communities. Experience working in advocacy or rights protection on behalf of adults and children with disabilities. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Ability to present to audiences with various needs and skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Basic word processing skills and computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters or other advanced degree in a related field (e.g. social work criminal justice psychology nursing). Five (5) years of experience as an investigator which required the detailed review of records interviewing of clients and the analysis and evaluation of facts. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Spanish.
