Role description:

As a Contract & Cost Administrator you will be responsible for delivering high-value and high-quality contract management services for Data Center projects.

You will work closely with both clients and internal teams ensuring that all contractual and administrative activities meet the required quality standards and the specific needs of each project. By proactively managing building contracts you will provide expert advice on commercial risk and compliance matters supporting the projects success from inception through to closeout.

The role requires strong analytical documentation and communication skills as well as a regular on-site presence to review progress and quality with contractors and other project stakeholders.

Role accountabilities:

  • Management of the entirety of the Building Contracts.
  • Visit the site regularly to review progress and quality with the Contractor and other contractors undertaking the project.
  • Provide contractual support and advice on potential change orders cost impacts risks utility requirements etc
  • Advise on Client liability regarding any claims from the Contractor (preliminary advice only).
  • Discuss the adjusted contract sum (final account) with the Contractor. Agree with client the authorisation to the adjusted contract sum.
  • Manage and track the closeout of claims in collaboration with the project team. Analyse and report on the Contractors losses and expenses claims.
  • Advise on the Contractors entitlement to extensions of time in collaboration with project team. Analyse the Contractors application(s) for extensions of time.
  • Prepare documentation and/or provide advice to support proceedings:adjudicationmediation arbitration litigation RFP final Contract Exhibits finalization interim payment certification etc.
  • Overview document management in order store all relevant correspondence and Documents and which is to be accessed by all stakeholders
  • Reporting activity related to role and discipline
  • Weekly/monthly meeting attendance
  • Visit the site regularly to review progress and quality with the Contractor and other contractors undertaking the project.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 10 years of working experience in similar roles and/or international companies.
  • Excellent knowledge of English language (B2/C1) and a good level of Italian (B1/B2).
  • Fidic Contract knowledge is a must.
  • A degree in Engineering is a strong plus.
  • A previous experience in the Data Center sector will be considered a strong plus.
  • Ability to travel autonomously is a must.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Available to travel domestically around 80% of the time.
  • Frequent presence on-site will be requested. Projects are based in the Milan hinterland mainly east and south of Milan.
