In joining the CRM Engagement Solutions Team a part of Shared Business Solutions (SBS) youll become part of a highly capable and extraordinary group of Salesforce experts ready to support our Sales and Service customers across Nationwide Financial. This role supports Salesforce the Nationwide Financial Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
This position is for a Business Product Owner (PO). POs own the Salesforce CRM product by delivering capabilities across Sales/Service Cloud. Partner with stakeholders architects and developers (Business Config & IT) to deliver high-value features ensuring robust governance data quality and measurable outcomes for the platform.
In 2026 Salesforce is standing up 2 development lines to accelerate Salesforce enhancements and run support for the platform.
Based on capacity and business demand this role may expand to include additional responsibilities within the team utilizing relevant experience to support the broader Salesforce ecosystem as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and execute on product vision roadmap and quarterly objectives
Define and drive release schedule to coordinate & deliver CRs for both Configuration and the IT dev line
Transfer business outcomes into epics/features/stories for development execution by IT line
Lead backlog refinement sprint planning and release readiness in an agile environment
Govern release calendars ensure UAT and provide sign-off on releases
Collaborate with architects on solution design and with QA on test strategy
Serves as the conduit between our teams Nationwide Technology (The Force) and the SBS portfolio to ensure projects and enhancements are prioritized or backlogged
The Product Owner is responsible for coordinating with the Salesforce Product Manager other Product Owners Salesforce Leadership and Portfolio Leaders to define and prioritize projects base camps and requirements for the Salesforce Teams
1-2 years of experience with Salesforce preferred Salesforce Administration Certification credential a plus (not required)

Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Bachelors degree in business IT or related field with advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Typically 5 or more years of demonstrated experience delivering initiatives and conducting customer research to inform value-based solutions. Experience executing in an agile environment product-centric principles and managing mid-level initiatives.
Knowledge Abilities and Skills:Sound knowledge of insurance industry agile planning practices and customer design principles. Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information and summarize for consumption by all levels. Ability to develop recommendations and influence the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap. Strong business process design skills and ability to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work interpedently and manage intermediate to advanced tasks that span different subject matters. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial.
Other criteria including leadership skills competencies and experiences may take precedence.
