Under the administrative supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) the Director Clinic Nursing Services provides strategic operational and clinical leadership for Clinic Nursing Services including (but not limited to) wellness visits chronic care management coumadin clinics infusion centers and other outpatient nursing services. The Director is accountable for service line performance including quality and patient safety workforce and capacity planning financial stewardship regulatory compliance and program growth. The Director partners with providers care teams and organizational leaders to optimize patient care processes and outcomes and to advance Accountable Care Organization (ACO) initiatives and continuous quality improvement (CQI).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Leadership & Program Development: Provides strategic leadership and direction for Clinic Nursing Services in alignment with Curry Health Networks mission vision shared values and organizational priorities. The Director is accountable for the development performance and growth of ambulatory nursing programs including wellness visits chronic care management coumadin clinics infusion services and other outpatient nursing functions. This role evaluates community and organizational needs identifies opportunities for service expansion and partners with clinical and administrative leaders to advance ACO initiatives and population health strategies.
Operational Oversight & Clinical Excellence: Oversees the operational performance of Clinic Nursing Services ensuring effective staffing models standardized workflows and efficient use of resources to support safe high-quality patient-centered care. The Director collaborates with physicians advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care delivery optimize access and improve clinical processes. This role fosters a culture of patient safety professionalism and accountability with a focus on reducing risk and enhancing the patient experience.
Quality Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Responsible for quality outcomes regulatory compliance and continuous quality improvement across Clinic Nursing Services. This includes leading performance improvement initiatives using data and metrics to drive decision-making and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations accreditation standards and organizational policies. The Director works collaboratively with internal departments to support readiness for audits surveys and ongoing performance monitoring.
Financial Stewardship: Serves as a financial steward for Clinic Nursing Services with accountability for the development management and monitoring of departmental operating budgets and participation in capital planning as applicable. The Director oversees productivity forecasting and cost-containment efforts to ensure resources are aligned with clinical demand quality standards and strategic priorities.
People Leadership & Workforce Development: The Director builds and leads a high-performing ambulatory nursing team by setting clear expectations developing leaders and ensuring consistent performance management and accountability. This role oversees workforce planning orientation education and ongoing competency validation and manages employee relations activitiesincluding hiring coaching corrective action and terminationsdirectly and/or through subordinate leaders.
Communication & Collaboration: Communicates effectively and professionally with physicians clinical staff Medical Directors and the administrative leadership team to support alignment transparency and timely decision-making. The Director escalates risks and barriers with proposed solutions and performs other duties as assigned in support of departmental effectiveness and overall organizational performance consistent with Curry Health Networks mission vision and shared values.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Oregon unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure is required; new hires must be able to acquire licensure within 6 months. BSN is required within 3 years of hire; masters degree preferred.
- Those portions of the Job Summary and the Essential Functions of this role that are directly related to patient care may not be performed until licensure is obtained.
- Incumbent will not be responsible or accountable for any direct patient care or oversight of patient care until licensure is obtained.
- Current BLS & ACLS and NIHSS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in Acute or Ambulatory Nursing is required.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience required.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with strong verbal and written communication skills team-building skills and patient-centered service skills.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Strong computer knowledge and ability including Microsoft Suite.
Able to provide patient and community education.
