Job Description
Quality Control Inspector
St. Charles IL
Compensation:
- Pay Range $23.75 - $28.19/hour shift premium ($1.00 for second shift and $1.50 for third shift)
Available Shifts:
- Monday-Friday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm and every other Saturday
- Monday-Friday: 11:00pm - 7:00am and every other Saturday
Responsibilities
- Inspects cups and/or cartons for defects including visual functionality and cohesion
- Uses measurement equipment to ensure product meets customer specifications
- Notifies operator of defects
- Continues close monitoring of the product until the defect is corrected
- Places on hold defective products that do not meet specifications
- Prepares appropriate paperwork related to the hold or reject
- Checks for count color coding of the corrugated and packer identification on the cases packed
- Follow all quality procedures as outlined by management and accurately complete all required paperwork pertaining to these procedures
- Enters and maintains quality data results in the SAP quality management system
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years related experience
- Must have previous knowledge of measuring tools and properly able to use gauges
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to do basic math skills such as add subtract multiply divide and change fractions into decimals
- Microsoft Office Statistical Software & some programming experience
- Statistical methods & process improvement techniques
- Knowledge of manufacturing lab practices & test procedure
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including off-shift coverage & some weekends
