Those in enterprise risk management at PwC will focus on identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact an organisations operations and objectives. You will be responsible for developing business strategies to effectively manage and navigate risks in a rapidly changing business environment.

Overall Responsibilities:

The Acceleration Center (AC) Risk & Quality (R&Q) Director will help lead the US One Firm Risk Organization (OFRO) strategy and team across AC sites in a geographic region. Leading strategic priority R&Q projects and building relationships with key senior stakeholders to manage risk and quality in a practical manner is critical to this role. The role supports the US AC R&Q Leader in managing risk and quality at ACs. An outstanding Customer Experience with a focus of mitigating risk and enhancing quality across the ACs is key.

Basic Qualifications:

Demonstrates thought leader - level abilities with and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Reviewing and comparing R&Q policies and procedures across the business in order to develop and formulate a consistent approach;
  • Partnering with other OFRO functions (e.g. R&Q independence internal audit etc.) ACs and other support functions (OGC E&C Network Information Security etc.) to provide comprehensive support to the business;
  • Operating and collaborating effectively with diverse teams across the world and embracing the views of others to develop optimal solutions;
  • Executing project management (including work plan development and management issues tracking and status reporting) on both strategic and tactical initiatives with multiple workstreams with ability to raise and vet complex and/or time sensitive matters;
  • Developing and sustaining extensive relationships across OFRO the business and other enabler groups to positively impact strategic initiatives and related programs;
  • Exercising a proactive mindset with proven ability to independently solve problems with minimal supervision;
  • Demonstrating excellent leadership people management communication and influencing skills at a senior level;
  • Demonstrating the ability and willingness to travel;
  • Demonstrating the ability and willingness to regularly work outside normal business hours (mornings and/or evenings) in order to effectively collaborate with teams across multiple time zones;
  • Understanding the implications of the unique nature of PwCs position in the market and as a public accounting firm that requires sound policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements to maintain our reputation to protect our brand and to deliver the consistent quality that our clients expect from PwCs brand;
  • Leading on-boarding to help new joiners get up to speed quickly on the policies and operating procedures that help the firm mitigate risk comply with industry regulations and provide consistent quality service to clients;
  • Maintaining digital acumen with ability to leverage technology;
  • Identifying socializing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities;
  • Possessing executive presence communication skills capable of influencing and driving accountability for results;
  • Identifying and escalating matters and facilitating required discussions within OFRO the business and with other stakeholders;
  • Planning for escalating and communicating resource needs;
  • Driving the resolution of issues and developing program direction and changes;
  • Driving initiatives and partnering with senior leadership and project teams within a professional services environment;
  • Demonstrating an open mind in giving and receiving feedback for personal and professional growth;
  • Intermediate level of experience with the Microsoft Office technology suite;
  • Collaborating with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; and
  • Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing initiatives.

This is not a remote role and will require an individual to frequently work from the PwC office.
