Job Description Linux Referent
Position Summary
As a Linux Referent you will act as a technical authority for Linux environments ensuring system performance security and compliance with client standards. You will provide expert guidance to operational teams contribute to continuous improvement and support the integration of new services within a structured ITIL framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Control recommendations and provide advice in compliance with the rules imposed by the client
- Regular analysis of machine performance to validate proper sizing and ensure performance levels meet expectations
- Conduct technology watch and organize knowledge transfer sessions for teams
- Monitor recommendations and security bulletins within the operated scope
- Participate in follow-up meetings with various identified contacts at our client (two-way exchanges information feedback to teams)
- Inform and support change in compliance with ITIL rules in place at the client
- Ensure a level of expertise that allows:
- Integration of new services into support and assisting existing teams in mastering these services
- Ensure that tickets related to your area of operation are followed up on
- Being proactive in contributing to continuous improvement
- Analyze complex problems and propose solutions then train teams accordingly
- Ability to handle technical topics with an overview that respects the clients constraints
- Autonomy in the production of documentation and the communication of information and instructions to teams
- Ensure controlled communication
- The role is subject to on-call duty
Qualifications :
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Linux operating systems (administration troubleshooting performance tuning)
- Experience with system performance analysis and capacity planning
- Knowledge of security best practices vulnerability management and security bulletins
- Familiarity with ITIL processes including change incident and problem management
- Experience integrating new services into production and support environments
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and design sustainable solutions
- Understanding of infrastructure environments (on-premise virtualized and/or cloud)
- Experience with monitoring and supervision tools
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in agile and international environments.
- Team-oriented mindset with autonomy and initiative.
- Good level of English and French is a must.
