MRI Technologist Full-Time

AMRI Technologistperformsradiologicalprocedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision. They also perform avariety of technical and imaging procedures that require independent responsibility for patient safety and image quality protocols. AssistPhysicians and Radiologists in special procedures.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of Radiologic program which isaccredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiology Technology Education(JRCRTE)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

• Valid ARRT Licensure (RT.R)
• Valid LSRTBE licensure

JOB KNOWLEDGE

• TJC standards
• Performing all routine diagnostic medical imaging proceduresincluding use of C-arm in surgery.

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• Completion of accredited MRI Technologist program. JOB KNOWLEDGE
• TJC standards
• Performing all routine diagnosticmedical imaging procedures including use of C-arm in surgery PRINCIPLE TASKS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• 
  
• Perform M.I. procedures as orderedincluding x-rays fluoros during MRI down time.

• Responsible for scheduling and cost ofcontinuing education
• Standby in surgery with C-arm duringslow MRI down time.
• Utilize portable x-ray equipment asn
• Perform procedures on inpatientsoutpatients and ER patients
• Transport patients
• Process films
• Forward films to Radiologist and ERPhysician and discuss findings with physician if needed
• Assist with peer group interviews
• Work your share of overtime when heavyworkload arises
• Order and stock supplies
• Handle equipment problems byinvestigation calling repair service notifying Tech Supr or Manager
• Assist coworkers with transport andprocedures
• Additional duties may be added to techsresponsibilities if and when the need arises
• Be abreast of all P.I. projects andareas routinely monitored
• Assist Tech Supr and Manager withprojects when needed
• Attend department meetings hospital in-services
• Assists in departmental orientation tonew employees
