Job Duties

General Summary: The senior paralegal plays a critical role in providing advanced legal support to attorneys and overseeing complex legal matters. This position involves managing cases supervising junior paralegals conducting legal research and assisting with trial preparation. The senior paralegal is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.


Essential Duties:
Manage and coordinate all aspects of legal cases including document management research and case strategy.
Review analyze and organize large volumes of legal documents and evidence.
Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare case summaries for attorneys.
Draft and review legal documents contracts and agreements.
Assist in the preparation of trial binders exhibits and trial presentations.
Coordinate and communicate with clients opposing counsel and external stakeholders.
Supervise and provide guidance to junior paralegals assigning tasks and ensuring quality work.
Assist in the development and implementation of departmental processes and procedures.
Monitor and manage case deadlines court filings and discovery requests.
Stay updated on legal industry trends and developments.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of six years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Strong knowledge of legal principles procedures and terminology.
Proficiency in using legal research tools case management software and document management systems.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
Supervisory experience and leadership qualities.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Familiarity with e-discovery tools and trial presentation software is an advantage.

Additional Considerations

Bachelors degree in a related field or completion of a paralegal certificate program is preferred.
