Assistant Greenkeeper

• Maintain turf health through mowing aerating fertilising and pest control
• Set up and maintain course elements including bunkers hazards and tee markers
• Operate and maintain greenkeeping equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all work areas
• Communicate effectively with team members management and golf course users
• Apply golf rules and etiquette in course maintenance activities
• Support renovation projects and ornamental area maintenance as required
• Monitor and report on course conditions and operational issues
• Attend training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge
• Uphold The Meres values and maintain high standards of professionalism

Qualifications :

• NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance (or working towards) preferred
• PA1 PA2 PA6 spraying certificates desirable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in greenkeeping sports turf or grounds maintenance
• Experience operating turf machinery including mowers tractors and implements
• Knowledge of turf care including mowing aeration irrigation and nutrition
• Understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations including safe machinery use and COSHH
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and a positive teamfocused attitude
• A passion for golf course presentation and delivering exceptional playing conditions
