Job Summary

Column Technical Services is seeking an experienced Remote Transportation Sales Representativewith a wellestablished book of business in the transportation or logistics sector to join the team. This fully remote role centers on expanding and managing your existing client relationships while actively securing new shipper accounts. You will operate with a high degree of independence supported by our skilled dispatch and operations team based in Syracuse NY who oversee load booking carrier sourcing tracking and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Grow and manage an existing book of business by maintaining strong relationships with current shippers and maximizing revenue opportunities.
Prospect and secure new shipper customers through cold calling networking referrals industry events and other outbound sales efforts.
Assess customer transportation needs and deliver tailored specialized solutions that align with their requirements.
Negotiate rates contracts and service agreements to secure profitable business.
Partner closely with the Syracuse dispatch team to ensure seamless load execution clear communication and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities pipeline status and forecasts using company tools.
Stay current on market trends rate fluctuations and the competitive landscape within specialized transportation.
Take full accountability for sales performance demonstrating initiative resilience and a commitment to meeting or exceeding targets.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transportation sales freight brokerage logistics sales or a related field with emphasis on truckload or specialized freight (flatbed heavy haul hot shot etc.).
An established portable book of business consisting of active shipper accounts you can transition and service.
Proven ability to independently manage and grow customer relationships.
Strong phone presence excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
