St. Martins Episcopal School an Episcopal independent school serving students from PK-12 and located in Metairie LA is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Upper School Math Teacher to join our faculty in August 2026. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about student growth academic excellence and innovative teaching.
About the Role
Teach Upper School mathematics courses ranging from Algebra I to Calculus including College Prep Honors and AP levels.
Create a student-centered classroom that fosters critical thinking problem-solving and collaboration.
Use diverse instructional methods incorporating technology inquiry-based learning and cross-curricular connections.
Serve as an advisor to 7-10 students providing mentorship and support.
Moderate a co-curricular activity student club athletic team or enrichment program to encourage student engagement beyond the classroom.
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in Mathematics or a related field (Masters preferred).
Teaching certification (preferred) and at least one year of experience teaching high school or college-level math.
Interest in coaching a sport (preferred but not )
Strong understanding of student learning styles differentiation and educational technology.
Excellent communication collaboration and classroom management skills.
Commitment to St. Martins mission of faith scholarship and service.
