About the Role

The Clinical Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in advancing compassionate trauma-informed care for survivors of domestic violence. This position oversees the clinical operations of the Domestic Violence Advocacy Center (DVAC) and provides high-quality clinical supervision to student interns and associate therapists.

Working collaboratively across programs the Clinical Supervisor strengthens clinical excellence supports emerging clinicians and helps shape innovative therapeutic services aligned with Lauras House mission and values. This is an ideal role for a seasoned mission-driven clinician who is passionate about mentorship systems-building and meaningful community impact.

What Youll Do

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide weekly individual clinical supervision to therapist trainees associate clinicians and BSW direct service interns at both the Domestic Violence Resource Center (Aliso Viejo) and the Domestic Violence Advocacy Center (Garden Grove).
  • Offer group supervision as needed to support program coverage and emerging clinical needs.
  • Review sign and provide feedback on clinical documentation and progress notes.
  • Maintain all supervision records in compliance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements.
  • Complete and sign required BBS supervision forms and evaluations for supervisees and academic programs.



Program Oversight & Development

  • Coordinate DVAC therapy and childcare advocacy programs including scheduling referrals case assignments workflows and staff evaluations.
  • Ensure accurate timely documentation outcome tracking and reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of new clinical services therapeutic groups and program enhancements.
  • Participate in interviewing and onboarding student trainees and clinical staff.

Collaboration & Professional Practice

  • Participate in OC MFT Consortium meetings management meetings and senior leadership meetings as needed.
  • Uphold ethical standards professional regulations and agency policies.
  • Maintain current licensure CEUs and supervision requirements in accordance with BBS standards.
  • Represent the agency with professionalism and integrity in all internal and external settings.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client staff volunteer and agency information in accordance with legal and ethical requirements.
  • Participate in agency events trainings and community activities as a presenter or attendee when needed.
  • Maintain an organized and professional work environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet program needs.

Education & Experience

  • Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy Social Work or a related field (required).
  • Active California licensure as an MFT or LCSW for a minimum of two years (required).
  • Direct clinical experience working with survivors of domestic violence (required).
  • Completion of a 40-hour domestic violence training as mandated by law.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently while serving as a supportive effective team leader.

Additional Qualifications

  • Valid California drivers license reliable transportation and appropriate insurance.
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and TB testing.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) standing walking and other routine physical activities associated with an office and community-based setting.
