On behalf of our client we are seeking a Paralegal to join their this role you will provide essential support to attorneys and legal teams by preparing and organizing legal documents managing case files conducting research and assisting with pre- and post-judgment proceedings. You will communicate professionally with clients defendants and garnishees ensure legal processes are accurate and compliant and maintain strict confidentiality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document & Case Management:
    • Prepare and organize legal documents for pre-judgment accounts hearings and litigation cases
    • Draft pleadings declarations summons complaints default judgments writs of garnishment and related documents.
    • Maintain all legal documents in a confidential and organized manner.
    • Assist with pre- and post-judgment administrative tasks including sending legal notices and managing case files.
  • Research & Communication:
    • Conduct initial research and provide relevant information to attorneys and paralegals.
    • Communicate professionally with clients defendants and garnishee parties to gather necessary documents and information.
    • Provide administrative support including handling mailings answering calls maintaining calendars and organizing filing systems.
  • Administrative & Clerical Duties:
    • Prepare and manage summons complaints default judgments declarations satisfaction of judgments and other litigation-related documents.
    • Send ten-day notices and perform postal traces for service address verification.
    • Audit legal information and database entries to ensure accuracy.
    • Efficiently complete written requests and updates across multiple programs while maintaining accuracy.
  • Legal Auditing & Hearings Support:
    • Review and audit legal files including preparing Assignments of Judgment (AOJ) and coordinating with client services.
    • Prepare and schedule hearings for summary judgments noted default judgments and litigation proceedings.
    • Maintain and update work boards request work batches and audit work batch hits
  • Additional Responsibilities & Workplace Expectations:
    • Conduct professional communication via e-mail and phone as necessary.
    • Adhere to the companys camera-on policy during working hours to enhance communication and accountability.
    • Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by the client.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant paralegal or similar role preferred.
  • Prior experience in litigation cases and courtroom support is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of legal terminology procedures and document preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant legal software.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines efficiently.
  • Willingness to comply with a Camera-On Policy during working hours except during approved breaks (e.g. bio breaks and lunch breaks) to ensure accountability and security in a remote work environment.
  • Two professional references and a valid criminal background check issued within the last 60 days are required for all successful applicants.
  • Completion of intake paperwork including submission of a valid tax identification number (e.g. Social Security Number Social Insurance Number or the countrys equivalent) is required before onboarding.

Working Hours:
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Pay: $1000 $55 Allowance per month
