Job Summary

Senior Cost Accountant

Role Overview
Responsible for accurate product costing variance analysis and financial insights within a manufacturing environment. This role partners with operations supply chain engineering and finance to strengthen cost control improve margins and support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain standard costs for materials labor and overhead
Analyze manufacturing variances and provide actionable insights
Perform cost roll-ups margin analysis and product cost evaluations
Reconcile WIP inventory and cost of goods sold
Support budgeting forecasting and cost modeling
Lead inventory counts and resolve production or material discrepancies
Improve costing processes reporting and ERP workflows
Prepare cost reports dashboards and management summaries
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements
Assist with the month-end and year-end inventory and cost close

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Manufacturing cost accounting experience
Strong knowledge of standard costing BOMs and inventory accounting
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
