Job Summary
Network Engineer Washington D.C.
Network Engineer to join our team in Washington D.C. As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our companys network infrastructure. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls and other network devices
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement network solutions that align with business needs
- Conduct regular network upgrades and updates to improve performance and security
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT team members
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technology
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in network engineering or administration
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP DNS DHCP and VLANs
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and Cisco IOS
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus
