The Opportunity

As a Senior Disaster Recovery Consultant you will be the Chief Resilience Officer for our most strategic clients. Youll architect implement and validate disaster recovery solutions that directly impact our clients ability to survive operational disruptions. This isnt a backup-and-restore roleits about business preservation through technology. Youll leverage our proprietary DR automation platform to deliver guaranteed outcomes while building lasting client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

1. DR Strategy & Business Alignment

• Conduct Executive-Level Business Impact Analyses to quantify downtime costs ($/hour)
• Design tiered recovery strategies (Bronze/Silver/Gold) aligned with business criticality
• Develop client-specific recovery playbooks with role-based runbooks for IT and business teams

2. Technical Architecture & Implementation

• Lead 30-Day Rapid DR Deployment using our standardized implementation framework
• Architect hybrid multi-cloud recovery solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP on-premises)
• Configure automated failover/failback with pre-validated recovery scripts
• Implement real-time replication for critical workloads with near-zero RPO

3. Testing Validation & Continuous Improvement

• Execute quarterly Disaster Simulation Days with full stakeholder participation
• Validate recovery SLAs through automated testing and documented evidence
• Maintain DR compliance dashboards for regulated clients (HIPAA FINRA SOC 2)
• Conduct post-test Lessons Learned workshops to refine recovery procedures

4. Incident Leadership & Recovery Execution

• Serve as Primary Recovery Commander during declared disasters
• Lead war room operations with clear communication protocols
• Provide real-time recovery status to client executives and our 24/7 NOC
• Document recovery timelines and outcomes for SLA validation and improvement

5. Client Success & Value Realization

• Deliver Quarterly Resilience Scorecards with metrics vs. industry benchmarks
• Conduct annual DR strategy reviews aligned with business growth/changes
• Identify cost optimization opportunities in clients recovery infrastructure
• Facilitate tabletop exercises for C-suite and board-level awareness

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Required Experience:

• 5 years in enterprise disaster recovery/business continuity
• 3 years in client-facing consulting or technical account management
• Proven track record of designing and testing recovery solutions for 100 user environments
• Hands-on experience with 2 of: Veeam Zerto Azure Site Recovery AWS DR Commvault
• Documented experience leading actual recovery operations or major DR tests

Technical Mastery:

• Deep understanding of RTO/RPO tradeoffs and implementation strategies
• Experience with DR automation and orchestration platforms
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks: ISO 22301 NIST 800-53 FFIEC HIPAA
• Familiarity with cyber recovery techniques and air-gapped solutions

Communication & Leadership:

• Ability to translate technical recovery capabilities into business continuity value
• Experience presenting to C-level executives and board members
• Strong crisis management and calm-under-pressure demeanor
• Excellent documentation and process discipline

• CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
• MBCP (Master Business Continuity Professional)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)

• Base Salary: $120000 - $150000 (based on experience)
