Job Description

PURPOSE

The (Senior) Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring that ultimately the business transactions are properly processed reported on and analyzed providing financial information; this is executed with guidance and in accordance with Teledynes Accounting Standards and Internal Control Procedures and for local statutory reporting on national legislation with a focus on comprehensiveness timeliness and correctness. Analysis of variations and risks get reported to the Director of Finance and other stakeholders.

RESULT AREAS OF THE POSITION

Analyzing financial data

The (Senior) Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring that ultimately the business transactions are properly processed reported on and analyzed providing financial information.

Key activities:

• Ensuring timely and accurate monthly closing of the accounting period and building proper analysis on variances with forecasting for that period;
• Provide information tuned for Management on risks in achieving Teledyne DALSA X-Ray Solutions goals;
• Developing and analyzing management reports both within Teledyne DALSA X-Ray Solutions and for Corporate including when requested.
• Ensure reporting on business performance is consistent accurate and understandable for the receiver as well as identify possible ways to help reducing risks in meeting our targets;
• Ensuring the accuracy of the standard product costing and timely documented quarterly reviews (including relevant labor and overhead rate structure);
• Work with Finance team on proper GL reconciliations periodically taking into account deadlines (e.g. internal monitoring of inventory changes);
• Coordinate the annual updates of narratives on SOX processes with other functions and with Teledyne DALSA X-Ray Solutions locations to meet compliance

• Facilitate support on Audits by internal and external auditors (e.g. on SOX Compliance Statutory Audit and subsidy audits (like from RVO-Min. of Economic Affairs)
• Ensuring that Teledyne Corporates instructions are implemented in so far as they are applicable to Teledyne DALSA X-Ray Solutions.

• Keep our professional expertise up to date (with currently used tools like ERP Prophix One Stream etc.);
• Handling data management in ERP and forecasting tool;
• Identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness Finance processes.

Supporting Director of Finance

The (Senior) Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Director of Finance in his/her tasks.

Key activities:

• Supporting the Director of Finance with creating the Business Plan;
• Lead the monthly forecasting as key user (BU role);
• Lead the preparation coordination and audit of annual statutory financial statements;
• Replacing the Director of Finance in his daily activities in the event of his absence.
• Facilitate strategy discussions with accurate financial information (for Management like R&D reporting and preparation of product line P&L);
• Backing up for other team members of the Finance team and if needed support them with internal and external audits deliverables.

Supporting projects

The (Senior) Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting overall business projects and represents the Finance department in these projects.

Key activities:

• Designing and executing data processes in collaboration with the various business stakeholders IT and third parties.
• Managing timeline and progress on individual data uploads on forecast and business plan;
• Actively participating in SAP design discussions related to the Finance work stream.
• Drive Corporate initiative on 80/20 program with Teledyne DALSA X-Ray Solutions.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Access to all Finance related computer systems according to set access rules.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A degree in Finance by higher professional education or University;
• At least five years previous experience in a similar role;
• Good communication skills;
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English (oral and written)
• Knowledge of ERP software;
• A meticulous hands-on mentality.

Senior Financial Analyst

This role is demonstrated by the level of maturity and independence; key activities and projects in which leading competencies are required can only be fulfilled by the Senior and not a Junior financial analyst. To fulfill this position at Senior level additional broader working experience of five years is required.
