About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our Data Cognition Team at BMO Capital this role you will integrate security practices into our DevOps processes ensuring the security and compliance of AI-enabled products and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle and drive a strong security culture within the organization.

Our Team

The Data Cognition Team (DCT) at BMO Capital Markets delivers a scalable customizable and sustainable suite of AI-enabled products for multiple business units. We leverage advanced data and analytics technologies to solve complex business challenges and drive strategic transformation across Investment Banking Global Markets and other divisions.

Key Responsibilities

Integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle ensuring secure design development and deployment of AI-enabled products.

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools for efficient platform management.

Implement and maintain security best practices including vulnerability management threat modeling and secure coding standards.

Integrate and manage SAST and DAST tools within CI/CD pipelines for continuous security testing.

Automate security processes and enable continuous monitoring and compliance.

Conduct regular security assessments code reviews and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

Provide guidance and training to development and operations teams on secure coding practices.

Monitor and respond to security incidents perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Stay current with security trends vulnerabilities and technologies to proactively improve security posture.

Qualifications

5 years of experience in DevOps security engineering or related roles.

Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AI/ML infrastructure and model deployment.

Proficiency with SAST and DAST tools and their integration into automated pipelines.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. GDPR CCPA ISO 27001 NIST).

Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

Certifications such as CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist) CISSP CISM CEH or AWS Certified Security Specialty.

Experience with Generative AI Agentic AI or similar advanced AI technologies including building or deploying intelligent agents and generative models.

Base Salary: $110000 CAD

The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
