Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Centralized HR Liaison & Process Improvement
- Recruitment & Hiring: Acts as the primary point of contact for Agency HR. Oversees the request to fill process develops interview materials ensures the accuracy of hiring packets and coordinates with Agency HR to expedite recruitments and retirements.
- Strategic Collaboration: Builds relationships with Agency HR to ensure NDEs specific needs are met and recruitments attract high-quality candidates.
- Efficiency Tracking: Identifies and implements process improvements maintains detailed timelines of the hiring cycle and analyzes data to eliminate bottlenecks.
2. Staff Retention & Onboarding
- Onboarding: Conducts orientations on NDE-specific policies and procedures for new hires.
- Retention Data: Monitors employee job satisfaction and department climate preparing reports for leadership to help improve retention and workplace culture.
3. Facilities & Payroll Management
- Facilities Manager: Serves as the single point of contact for NDEs three locations. Investigates complaints coordinates repairs with landlords/Buildings and Grounds and assists the Deputy Superintendent with data for capital improvement projects.
- Backup Payroll Clerk: Ensures accurate bi-weekly timesheet processing manages the catastrophic leave bank and resolves employee inquiries regarding taxes and deductions.
4. Leadership & Supervision
- Executive Support: Manages the Deputy Superintendents calendar and provides administrative support for the Student Investment Division.
- Supervisory Oversight: Provides direct supervision to the Administrative Assistant supporting the Offices of District Support Services Pupil-Centered Funding and Fiscal Operations.
