As a Full Stack Architect in our Investment Management space you will lead next generation platform architecture champion cloud-native and event driven patterns and modernize a cloud/distributed/mainframe ecosystem to deliver scalable secure solutions for our mutual funds GICs and registered product experience.

CUSTOMER

• Apply a multi-disciplinedexpertisewith database application client tiers layering of software build test and deploy strategiesin order tocreate the overall design of software (including applications infrastructure middleware) and guide how the sub-components are developed by different teams

• Advise on suitability of technology stacks to defineprinciples / key constraints for solution components; ralliesthe team around these principles todeterminesecurity / scalability approach and impact assessments for future design

• Collaborates with Practices actively driving capability creation; mentoring and training junior colleagues to be adaptive staying on top ofexpanding technologies and engineering trendsand creating highly visual and functional solutions

SHAREHOLDER

• Set service-levelobjectives(SLO) and exercise key decision rights of the FSA role

• Focus on reliability scalability and the development of the architectural infrastructure; includinghighly complexand scalable systems

• Lead interaction with governance and control groups (e.g.regulatory / operational riskcomplianceand audit) to provide subject matterexpertiseand consult on risk issues related to architectural technology and tools

• Monitor and report on the status of the products / projects and applications within assigned product ensuring projects are compliant with technology domain architecture and designs /operatesprocesses to provide ongoing review of in-progress activity against technology architecture and development standards

• Foresee architectural issues / gaps andidentifiesemerging industry trends to recommend value-added architectural improvements that will alleviate technology debt and build resilient solutions

• Maps processes and sub-processes that bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions

• Collaborates within practices platforms or journeyscomprisedof diverse and complementary skills; inspiring the team to embrace changes and continually advance collective knowledge of technical tools / trends

• Protect the interests of the organization identifyand manage risks and escalate non-standardhigh riskactivities as necessary

• Keep abreast of emerging issues trends and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate (Graduate degree preferred)

• 10 years relevantarchitectureexperience developing a variety of platforms

• Expertisein designingcloudnativesolutions across Azure and hybridmulticloudenvironments

• Experience withevent drivenandAPI-firstarchitectures including Kafka or equivalent platforms and the design of secure scalable APIs

• Realtime orchestration and decoupled interaction across distributed systems.

• Expertisein shapingtargetstatearchitectures reference models roadmaps and modernization journeys.

• Experience with distributed and mainframe architecturesoperatingalongsidecloudnativeand vendorplatforms.

• Experience with AI and its potential to enhancedecisionmaking automation and business value.

• Experience with CI/CD automated testing infrastructureascode and secure deployment pipelines.

• Architecture experiencerelated toplatform conversions

• Familiarity with Investment Management productssuch as mutual funds GICs RRSPs and investment savings accountsis an asset and supports stronger alignment with our platform ecosystem.
