The American Heart Association has an opportunity for aSr. Program Manager Health Science Registry & Research supporting our National Center office in Dallas TX. This position can be home-based.
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for assisting to direct the Quality Research teams needs. The incumbent will manage the creation development and maintenance of policies and procedures associated with the Quality research strategy including the tracking and developing reports to communicate status of research publication activity for some Quality programs and directly manage assigned projects; support team members on project management directly manage the active author group publication needs and support volunteer/stakeholder needs. This position will oversee the research team assist with bringing our research to conferences in novel ways and develop our new research programs. The Quality & Registry Research Senior Program Manager will also be responsible for special or ad hoc projects as needed. The incumbent will provide oversight of Quality Research team and associated volunteer groups. This position will also be responsible for the strategic planning of both the Quality Research portfolio and the Data Quality Review program to include conference presence research promotion and more. This position will also be responsible for contract development and maintenance as it relates to the needs of the programs.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Quality & Registry Research portfolio ensuring alignment with our scientific priorities registry strategy and volunteer engagement goals. Oversee end-to-end management of research publications including tracking pipeline status coordinating author groups monitoring timelines resolving barriers and producing leadership-ready reporting on productivity and impact. Directly manage complex cross-functional research initiatives including novel registry programs conference submissions data quality initiatives and externally funded collaborations
- Lead development maintenance and governance of research policies procedures and workflows including publication pathways proposal review processes data access and compliance standards.
- Provide programmatic leadership for the Data Quality Review (DQR) program including strategic planning process optimization partner engagement performance reporting and national scale implementation.
- Drive development of new research programs and partnerships by identifying strategic opportunities building business cases and operationalizing scalable models for national hospital and international impact.
- Manage development and maintenance of research-related contracts including scope definition timelines budgets compliance requirements and coordination with legal and corporate relations
- Guide and mentor Quality Research team members on project management best practices stakeholder engagement and scientific operations while providing oversight of workload prioritization and delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in related fields
- 5 years of related experience
- Ability to track and monitor projects and relationships
- Strong skills in clear and effective written and oral communications including thorough knowledge and command of business English
- Experience in program management communications/marketing or health technology required.
- Ability to approach complex and challenging tasks with a proactive problem-solving attitude
- Ability to communicate complex information in a digestible format
Compensation & Benefits
The expected pay range will be$100000 to $110000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
