Job Description

The Legal Analyst reports to the Senior Director Legal Operations and supports the Legal function by managing key operational financial compliance and governance-related activities. This role partners closely with Legal leadership Finance Accounting Audit and external counsel to ensure accuracy consistency and timely execution of core Legal processes.

The position plays a critical role in maintaining operational discipline supporting regulatory and audit requirements and enabling the Legal team to operate efficiently at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Operations & Financial Management

Coordinate and support legal invoicing processes including coding processing and reconciliation of legal invoices in partnership with Finance and Accounts Payable.

Support monthly legal accruals and reporting activities including preparation of data and documentation for Accounting and Finance.

Assist with non-GAAP legal spend reporting and litigation-related financial disclosures as required.

Maintain oversight of Legal Department subscriptions and vendor-related onboarding and administrative matters (including but not limited to the review and amendment of outside counsel engagement letters ensuring alignment with Outside Counsel Guidelines).

Support timekeeper rate approvals and facilitate coordination with external consultants and service providers under Legal leadership guidance.

Audit Compliance & Governance Support

Support quarterly and annual litigation accrual and legal contingency reporting in coordination with Legal leadership and Accounting.

Assist with preparation and completion of legal documentation required for internal and external audits.

Partner with auditors and Legal leadership to support annual outside counsel letter processes and other audit-related requests.

Litigation Investigations & Conduct Support

Assist with implementation and administration of the Annual Conduct Questionnaire (ACQ) process under the direction of the Director of Investigations.

Serve as a contributor to cross-functional task forces related to conduct compliance or legal process improvements.

Support preparation and maintenance of Board-level litigation and legal update materials as directed.

Administrative & Executive Support

Provide limited administrative and expense-related support to Legal leadership including travel and reimbursement coordination as needed.

Assist with logistics and preparation for Board meetings and Legal leadership meetings in partnership with relevant stakeholders.

Support reconciliation and documentation related to Legal Department purchasing cards used for Board or director-related expenses.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required; legal studies business finance or related field preferred.

36 years of experience in a Legal Operations Legal Analyst or corporate Legal support role.

Strong understanding of legal billing accruals audit support and financial coordination within a corporate environment.

Experience partnering cross-functionally with Finance Accounting Audit and external counsel.

High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable working with legal matter management billing and document management systems.
