Experience: 1 to 8 yrs

Qualification: Necessary:Graduate from an accredited college or university with certification course from state Fire Training College

Desirable: ISO / NEBOSH certificate

Job Description:

-Monitor the readiness of all Life Safety Systems in the hospital on an ongoing basis

-Coordinatewith theEngineering department for rectification action in case of un-serviceability of Life Safety Systems

-Perform periodic inspections of buildings structures and installations in coordination with Engineering Dept. & Licensed Agency for compliance of fire safety norms and escalate violations

-Identify fire hazards; recommend corrective action; perform follow-up inspections to see that corrective measures are taken

-Respond as per the defined role and procedures during any Fire incident / emergency

-Coordinate with AMC/CMC and Engineering team for implementation of annual PPM as per the schedule for Life Safety Systems

-Operate Fire & Life Safety System in response to fire alarms or routine situations

-Prepare history sheet / records reports and correspondence related to Fire & Life Safety Systems PPEs and Communication system under his / her control

-Ensure required water level is maintained in allfire water tanks at any given time

-Conduct training programs and give demonstration or information related to fire prevention and evacuation to all the stakeholders

-Train security personnel in techniques of fire control and equipment operation

-Prepare file and issue Fire Permits

-Ensure timely redressal of all repair and maintenance requests for fire services

-Process PR/ PO/ Work Order management activities in SAP for the Fire Dept.

-Assist prepare and maintain records and documents for Fire & Life Safety Systems

-Perform any other duties as assigned by the HOD

-Ensure safe environment to all the stake holders through effective Fire & Safety services

-Ensure quality indicators for drills are within the defined bench mark

-Actively participate and be accountable for implementation of all quality programs to ensure continuous quality improvement in the department

-Ensure adherence to internationally accepted standards including but not limited to those recommended by JCI NABH and other quality systems

-Maintain highest standards of infection control and ensure all protocols for maintaining infection control are followed during all maintenance and testing procedures

-Actively participate in infection control and prevention activities campaigns awareness sessions etc.
