The Role
As a KS1 Teacher you will teach pupils in Year 1 or Year 2 creating a stimulating inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement curiosity and resilience. You will plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across all areas of the curriculum with particular focus on English mathematics and foundation subjects.
You will also be instrumental in supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development helping them develop confidence resilience and strong interpersonal skills. Close collaboration with teaching assistants the SENCO and senior leadership will ensure that pupils with additional needs are fully supported and included.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging differentiated lessons across the curriculum
Monitoring assessing and tracking pupil progress and attainment
Supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development
Creating a safe inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Using a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners including SEN and EAL pupils
Collaborating effectively with teaching assistants subject leaders and SENCO
Communicating effectively with parents carers and external agencies
Participating in CPD staff meetings and school initiatives
Contributing to extracurricular activities school trips and events
Maintaining safeguarding health and safety standards
