The Role
As a KS1 Teacher you will be responsible for teaching pupils in Year 1 or Year 2 creating an engaging inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity resilience and a love of learning. You will plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the curriculum with particular focus on English mathematics and foundation subjects.
You will also support pupils social emotional and behavioural development helping them develop confidence independence and strong interpersonal skills. Working closely with teaching assistants SENCO and senior leadership you will ensure that pupils with additional needs receive personalised support.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering differentiated engaging lessons across the curriculum
Assessing monitoring and tracking pupil progress
Supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development
Creating a safe inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Using a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners including SEN and EAL pupils
Collaborating effectively with teaching assistants subject leaders and SENCO
Communicating effectively with parents carers and external agencies
Participating in CPD staff meetings and school initiatives
Contributing to extracurricular activities school trips and events
Maintaining safeguarding health and safety standards

Holds QTS and has experience teaching Key Stage 1
Is passionate about early years education and child development

Has strong classroom management and organisational skills

Builds positive relationships with pupils staff and parents
