The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Support the learning and development of children in reception and nursery classes

  • Assist in delivering structured and play-based learning activities

  • Support children with additional needs to ensure an inclusive classroom

  • Observe record and report childrens progress to the class teacher

  • Encourage confidence independence and social skills in young learners

  • Prepare classroom resources and assist in day-to-day routines

You will also help facilitate outdoor learning creative play and school trips contributing to a safe and stimulating learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children in whole-class small-group and one-to-one settings

  • Delivering play-based learning experiences under teacher guidance

  • Supporting childrens social emotional and behavioural development

  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining routines

  • Preparing learning materials and classroom resources

  • Monitoring and documenting childrens development and progress

  • Supporting children with SEN EAL or other additional needs

  • Participating in team meetings training sessions and school initiatives

  • Assisting with school events extracurricular activities and trips


The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has experience working with children aged 35 in a nursery or reception setting

  • Understands child development and early years pedagogy

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills
