Role Summary
As the Food & Beverage Leader you will be the strategic business leader of the propertys food and beverage and culinary operations including Restaurants and Bars In-Room Dining and Banquets and Catering. You will be responsible for the development and execution of departmental strategies that align with the EDITION brands service philosophy and business objectives.
Reporting directly to the General Manager this role plays a critical part in the pre-opening and operational launch of the hotel. The Food & Beverage Leader is accountable for driving revenue growth maximizing financial performance fostering high levels of employee engagement and delivering an exceptional guest experience consistent with the EDITION brands sophistication and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
- Set expectations and hold food and beverage leadership accountable for service behaviors
- Review financial reports to assess performance against budget
- Recommend CAPEX funding for equipment and renovations
- Establish and track operational and financial goals
- Develop and manage food and beverage budgets
- Ensure compliance with cash and liquor control policies
- Lead and inspire teams through strong communication and leadership
- Identify revenue opportunities and drive innovation
- Stay current with market trends and introduce new offerings
- Ensure delivery of exceptional guest service
- Coach mentor and develop leadership talent

This is a full-time on-site role based at The Cape Town EDITION V&A Waterfront.
