Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Emergency Department Float Pool

Location: Syracuse NY
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 5 8-hour shifts
Hours: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Compensation:

• Local: Up to $27/hour

• Travel: Up to $32/hour (inclusive of stipend)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support an Emergency Department Float Pool in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires flexibility strong teamwork skills and the ability to deliver high-quality patient-centered care across multiple emergency care settings. Prior Level I Trauma Center experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department

• Obtain and accurately document vital signs in a timely manner

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including toileting bathing feeding and mobility

• Serve as a safety companion for patients identified as safety risks

• Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development across all age groups

• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and care needs

• Communicate clearly and professionally with nurses physicians and interdisciplinary team members

• Maintain a safe clean and supportive patient care environment

• Participate in unit-based activities and quality improvement initiatives

• Accurately obtain record exchange and communicate patient information

• Uphold ethical standards patient confidentiality and professional conduct

• Maintain positive public relations and engage in ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State CNA Certification

• BLS Certification (required)

• Minimum 1 year of patient care experience

• Ability to meet all pre-employment health and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in an Emergency Department

• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center
