Job Title: Systems Testing / QA Specialist
Work Arrangement

Onsite 3 days per week remote 2 days per week (as agreed with the Hiring Manager)
Role Summary
The Systems Testing / QA Specialist is responsible for leading and executing functional and non-functional system testing for complex healthcare applications and integrations. The role focuses on system integration API ETL BI accessibility and COTS testing while ensuring quality across releases enhancements and defect fixes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional and non-functional system testing for interfaces core systems extensions enhancements and defect resolutions
Test bug fixes in reporting solutions and validate changes related to core system updates
Create and maintain complete testing artefacts including test strategies test plans test cases test scripts (manual and automated) test data test results and defect logs
Translate functional business and system requirements into effective test planning and execution
Create and manage test data analyze results perform retesting and support user walkthroughs and acceptance activities
Work closely with developers architects and product owners to define effective test plans
Track manage and resolve testing and production issues to maintain service quality
Validate production deployments and prepare test result reports for sign-off
Participate in cross-system and end-to-end integration testing
Support knowledge sharing and quality reviews throughout the SDLC
Required Skills & Experience
Public Sector & Healthcare Experience
5 years of experience working with public-sector healthcare organizations
Experience with large complex health-related IT projects
Knowledge of public-sector I&IT project methodologies and enterprise architecture practices
Experience producing technical documentation aligned with industry standards
QA & Systems Testing Experience
7 years of experience leading and executing system testing activities
Experience across all stages of testing including strategy planning execution automation and defect management
Experience testing:
COTS solutions (patches upgrades enhancements regression)
In-house web applications
APIs and web services (REST JSON XML HL7-FHIR)
Integration components and extensions
High-volume mission-critical systems
Experience testing security components (e.g. SAML JWT)
Experience with ETL testing to validate data extraction transformation and loading
Strong SQL skills for data validation and ad-hoc queries
Experience testing BI solutions including data validation for reports and dashboards
Experience performing accessibility testing aligned with WCAG 2.0
Experience developing and executing automated test scripts (e.g. Selenium)
Experience working in Agile traditional and DevOps environments
Knowledge of SDLC and structured development methodologies
Defect Tracking & Reporting
7 years of experience with defect and issue tracking
Experience using tools such as Jira Confluence or TestRail
Experience prioritizing testing based on business impact and risk
Participation in walkthroughs triage sessions and cross-functional QA meetings
General Skills
Strong technical leadership and quality advocacy skills
Excellent analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven stakeholder engagement and consulting skills
