Due to expansion they are looking to recruit a Regional Engineering Supervisor to join the team:
As a Regional Engineering Supervisor you are to be the first line of support for designated sites responsible for ensuring task completion of all fire and security equipment related issues ensuring all planned reactive and statutory works designated to a Fire and Security Engineer is carried out in accordance with contractual obligations.
The Role:
- To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with customer colleagues principal contacts will be customer management Technical Manager and National Service Manager.
- To carry out management duties within your area as detailed in the principal accountabilities.
- To provide on-site coaching with the Fire and Security Engineers within your team.
- To undertake maintenance and repairs in accordance with SLAs set by the customer including but not limited to response repairs and completion of PPMs to schedule.
- To ensure completion of all PPM works within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures and satisfactory standards.
- To respond promptly to service call requests from coordinators during normal hours and when on call by OOH provision as a secondary escalation. For avoidance of doubt additional support out of hours will be referred to the F&S Supervisor in the first instance.
- To identify non-repairable faults in equipment and propose corrective course of action.
- To fully complete all paperwork required by the Company to measure performance of service and undertake surveys as requested.
- To ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
- To monitor weekly Timesheet returns for your team and take action on non-returns.
- To support the regional Technical Manager on all technical people fire and security process issues.
- To complete specified reports and take action on any issues raised.
- To audit Fire and Security documentation and take action on any non-compliances.
- To monitor logged jobs and take action to ensure correct completion of outstanding items in given SLAs.
- To deal promptly with all calls and ensure that the issues are resolved effectively escalating where necessary to the appropriate management level.
- To be the primary contact for any operational issues and point of escalation for the teams should any issues arise.
- To complete appraisals for F&S Technicians.
- To deliver coaching alongside Technical Specialists to the F&S Technicians within your given area when required.
- All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
- Ensure all mandatory on-line training modules are completed.
- To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the companys Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- To work with company and customer colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
- Project costing support
The Person
- This role is responsible for managing regional Fire & Security teams
- To represent the company in a professional manner always and develop a good working relationship with the customer F&S Technicians F&S Supervisors and the Management team
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds)
- Full UK driving licence
- Apprentice served engineer with appropriate City & Guilds qualification
- CCTV Analogue and IP
- Fire systems
- Access Control systems
- Intruder systems
- IP Networking
- Aspiration systems
- Fire extinguishers
Specific Skills/Requirements
- Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electronic fire and security products
- Previous Supervisory Experience
- Competent in the use of steps and ladders
- Ability to distinguish colours to the standard required for maintenance and repair of electrical/ electronic equipment and appliances
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Willingness to travel and work wherever required to meet the demands of the business
- IPAF licence holder
- CSCS card holder
