Hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 37.540 hours
Schedule: 5 days per week
Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years of recent X-ray experience required for this assignment
Compensation
Local Pay: $58.00 $63.00 per hour
(Approx. $2175 $2362.50 per week)Travel Pay: $65.00 $78.00 per hour
(Approx. $2437.50 $2925.00 per week includes tax-free stipends for qualifying candidates)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a professional and dependable X-Ray Technologist to support a busy diagnostic imaging department in New York City. This role is ideal for a technologist who excels in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Operate radiologic imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Prepare and position patients while clearly explaining procedures to ensure comfort and compliance
Follow radiation safety standards including proper shielding and exposure control
Maintain image quality through adherence to established protocols and quality assurance standards
Identify and report equipment issues; assist with preventive maintenance and supply management
Accurately document procedures and verify exam completion in department records
Requirements
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience
Education & Licensure
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Current ARRT certification
Active New York State Limited Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) License (required)
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical proficiency in diagnostic radiology
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
High level of reliability professionalism and attention to safety
