Job Summary

Unit Function:

To conduct Counter Proliferation and Arms Control Operations and activities in order to further UK security and defence policy objectives through the implementation of mandatory Conventional Arms Control (CONAC) and Confidence and security Building Measures (CSBM) Treaties and obligations.

Position Role:

Responsible for the provision of operational and J2 support to out and inbound Arms Control Inspections. Unit CQMS and MT Officer also Deputy USyO. Responsible for the management and delivery of equipment recognition training.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide J2 operational support to outbound inspections.
2. Research and analyse geo-political socio-economic and military information for JACIG countries of interest.
3. Conduct all outbound Conventional Forces in Europe (CFE) Vienna Document 2011 (VD11) and Dayton Accord Treaty mission briefings and debriefings. Assist with and Quality Control the production of Post Op Reports.
5. Unit CQMS MT Officer and Dep USyO - to include management and 1RO responsibilities for the RAF MT Driver.
6. Responsible for all aspects of equipment recognition training in line with the CFE Protocol on Existing Types (POET).
7. Maintain close liaison with Defence Intelligence (DI) and Other Government Departments (including the FCDO). 8. Act as an Arms Control Escort on UK mainland. 9. Act as the Unit SHE Focal Point. Energy Efficiency Manager and Environmental Protection Focal Point.
