Location: Brooklyn NY 11235
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $64 $68 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment technical proficiency and the ability to work effectively during overnight shifts.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care (ICU) experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with Conscious Sedation
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Education Requirements
Certifications & Licensure
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Continuously assess monitor and document patient conditions including vital signs and cardiac rhythms
Administer medications IV therapies and blood products in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
Perform and assist with conscious sedation ensuring patient safety and compliance with standards of care
Initiate and maintain IV lines; perform phlebotomy as required
Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment such as ventilators infusion pumps and cardiac monitors
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in rapid response and code situations
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care when appropriate
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Adhere to infection control safety and regulatory standards
