The Part-Time English Learner (EL) Instructor oversees and coordinates the districts English Learner education program to ensure compliance with Massachusetts DESE Chapter 71A and federal requirements. The instructtor supports equitable access to both academic and vocational-technical programs for English Learners and collaborates with staff to ensure appropriate instructional supports are in position is designed to align with the size and needs of the districts EL Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination & Compliance* Coordinate the districts EL program in compliance with Chapter 71A and 603 CMR 14.00.* Ensure proper identification placement documentation and reclassification of English Learners.* Coordinate ACCESS for ELs testing including scheduling staff communication and compliance requirements.* Maintain required EL documentation for Tiered Focused Monitoring.* Assist with required DESE data reporting related to EL Collaboration* Collaborate with academic teachers and vocational instructors to support EL access to curriculum and career technical programs.* Support implementation of Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) strategies across classrooms.* Provide consultation and limited professional development to staff as appropriate for a part-time role.* Collaborate with special education staff for dually identified EL & Family Support* Monitor EL student progress in academic and vocational programs.* Ensure families have meaningful access to information through translation and interpretation services.* Serve as a point of contact for EL families and Review & Data Use* Review ACCESS MCAS and local assessment data to monitor program effectiveness.* Provide recommendations for program improvements based on student III Support (if applicable)* Assist with coordination of Title III services and reporting as appropriate for a part-time role.
