Prime Air is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic hardware and related Avionic and Communications systems for Prime Air Drones. This includes Satellite Communications Cellular and RF Communications. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). In this role you will be working with our Seattle based team to help to deploy new hardware and Avionics architecture systems for Prime Air Drones. You will work with internal and external vendors to support hardware development manufacturing and test.
Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will help the team in the following ways:
-Architecture and Hardware Designs develops Avionic compute and distributed system hardware ( lidar radar gnss antennas satcom and RF antennas)
-Design and test other analog/digital devices components such as navigation hardware communication hardware (satcom RF cellular) air DC-DC converts and protection circuitry.
-Perform electrical analyses circuit and RF simulation and test components sizing and selection create electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
-Support engineering trades estimates and interact with suppliers/partners on critical components and develop hardware from concept to mass production.
-Support developing hardware and component level requirements/specifications.
-Increase the engineering rigor behind designs verification and documentation.
-Perform prototype hardware and systems in labs.
-Perform formal verification testing including DO-160 and DO-254

- Experience in developing functional specifications design verification plans and functional test procedures
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 5 years HDE experience
- Masters degree in electrical engineering computer engineering or equivalent
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
