This role is on the mobile team that is part of vanguards Discretionary Advice Advice Platform Engineering is committed to Vanguards goalto bringhigh-quality affordable Advice to our clients. DAP enables multiple advice offers including an all-digital offer for the masses and a hybrid offer that pairs the digital experience with an Advisor for clients who value human support. Both offers are available for Personal Investor clients and Institutional plan participants. We are a team living the principles of agile andleanand we seek ambitious outcomes that resonate with clients while creating a fun and exciting work experience for our crew. What it takes:
Demonstrated experience with software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design data structures dependency injection and testable code.
Able to effectively communicate technical issues in a manner all can understand.
Participates in system analysis design development and implementationforour existing mobile native applications.
Translates stories into design& code. Develops well-engineered code and test artifacts backed by automated tests.
Elevates code into the test and production environments on schedule. Providesfollow-upProduction support. Submitschangecontrol requests and documents.
Follows Agile software developmentmethodology.
To be successful in this role you should have:
Familiaritywith Native application development
Willingness to cross trainin one or more relevant programming languages( / Java)
Ability to learnnew technologiesquickly anddemonstratea hands-on understanding
Understanding of design patterns integration patterns/practice Data modelingprinciplesand best practices
A goodtrack recordof project delivery for large cross-team projects
Strong communicationskills and the ability to connect with engineers managers PMs customers

Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred or relevant experience
2 years of software development experience
Important Factors:
Work must be performed in the U.S.
Hybrid model of work; Tuesday-Thursday in office
