WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

As a member of the Pfizer team your role will oversee the operational aspects of maintenance activities and be responsible for the administration and oversight of the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Calibration your role you will review the status of maintenance activities and budgets. You and your team will also support capital project planning and execution as well as work with stakeholders to develop resolutions to meet productivity quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

As a Senior Manager your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to effectively implement PM and calibration programs across the areas of responsibility to maximize equipment related uptime and operating efficiencies of equipment and facility assets. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex business areas you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division. As a Senior Manager you are a Subject Matter Expert focused on providing leadership guidance and technical and GMP compliance support with respect to maintenance systems.

Ensure compliance to regulatory norms best practices and global policies and procedures.

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

  • Provide the technical program leadership and departmental management to maximize the equipment related uptime and operating efficiencies of equipment and facility assets. These activities help minimize costs and contribute to the profitability and performance of the business.

  • Ensure that all safety instructions and measures are strictly observed.

  • Translate teams strategic objectives into operational plans andprovide insight into operational feasibility of proposed strategies.

  • Track and report departmental training information and ensure appropriate training course plans are assigned per job responsibilities for colleagues and contract resources.

  • Manage all aspects of colleagues engaged in supporting the afore mentioned responsibilities in a dynamic business environment while facilitating staff and organizational development.

  • Develop and execute maintenance programs to assure the proactive maintenance of the production equipment the cGMP compliance of the facility and support systems and the QA and OSHA compliance of all activities.

  • Work with the Reliability Engineering group to determine and initiate programs for future production equipment and facility upgrades through the input into the site master plan to meet the strategic planning goals.

  • This includes identification and corrective action to improve existing equipment performance develops alternative solutions to problems and establishes contingency plans.

  • Determine financial needs in area of assignment and develops budgets. Control expenditures to maintain limitation of approved expense budgets.

  • Provide input and scope to capital projects and provides maintenance engineering support for new equipment.

  • Provide the direction of the Kalamazoo PM program including the planning and maintenance of a ready backlog corrective work and shutdown projects.

  • Manage a staff across multiple shifts supporting operational business units in a manner to optimize personnel development and job efficiency.

  • Plan and schedule maintenance/project activities with the manufacturing business unit managers in a manner to minimize production interruption.

  • Establish self-sustaining programs to assure the continuation of critical activities and the consistency of performance in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • BA/BS with 6 years of experience.

  • Proven problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan implement and achieve significant complex goals and objectives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent customer stakeholder & customer relationship management.

  • Independent thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • The ability to influence sites and Pfizer colleagues attitudes and behaviors pertaining to maintenance practices.

Nice-to-Have

  • MBA/MS with 5 years of experience; OR PhD or JD with 1 year of experience.

  • Expertise in pharmaceutical production environment.

  • Proven team leader with a demonstrated ability to effectively implement business strategies and adept at working collaboratively within all levels of the organization.

  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional).

  • Professional Engineer.

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create positive business impact.
