Job Summary
ANewsPhotographerworks with an experienced team of dedicated award-winning television journalists. Responsible for shooting and editing news stories for broadcast and operating video backpacks for live shots (TVU). Must have experience with videography and editing a sharp eye for visual storytelling and a strong desire to own the big stories. Our newsphotographers work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.
A college or vocational degree is preferred but not must have a valid drivers license the ability to lift to 50 pounds and the willingness to work flexible hours. EOE M/F/D/V Background check required.
Position Summary: TheNewsPhotographeroperates television or video cameras to record images or video for news and sports reports. They also operate live shots and edit videos for newscasts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Shoots video for news/sports reports
- Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments logistics and shot requirements
- Sets up composes and executes video shots
- Maintains video equipment
- Edits video for television broadcasts and digital content
- Operates live backpacks (TVU) and live truck
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
- High school diploma
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Minimum two years of experience operating video recording equipment
- Proficiency with computers telephones and other office equipment
- Proficiency with video and audio recording equipment
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work any shift
- Valid drivers license
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
