Responsibilities
The Child Life Specialist is responsible for the assessment development implementation and evaluation of care plans to provide for the psychosocial behavioral recreational developmental and educational needs of hospitalized children based upon the childs age and developmental needs for a designated period of time.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree in Child Life or related field required
Masters Degree in Child Life or related field preferred
Experience
2 years of experience working with children in clinical settings required
Licenses and Certifications
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
CCLS - Certified Child Life Specialist preferred
