How Youll Make An Impact
As a Senior Software Engineer you will contribute to the development of robust backend systems implementing high-quality designs to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that meet customer and business needs. Your work will focus on ensuring reliability performance and maintainability across backend services.
What You Will Do
- Implement backend solutions using Python & Java and contribute to building scalable architectures and designs.
- Develop test and deploy scalable backend services ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
- Build and maintain microservices that align with the teams established architecture and coding standards.
- Collaborate with other team members and integrate backend systems with other components such as UI.
- Investigate and resolve production issues contributing to the overall stability of the platform.
- Adhere to best practices for coding testing and deployment including participating in code reviews.
The Experience You Bring
- Backend Development: Solid experience developing backend systems using Python (preferred) or Java. Working knowledge of frameworks such as FastAPI Django Flask (Python) or Spring Boot.
- Database Skills: Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of database design principles and optimization techniques. Familiarity with vector databases knowledge graphs & their applications.
- Agentic AI: Understanding of Agentic principles and workflows. Familiarity with agentic design patterns and exposure to frameworks such as AWS Bedrock LangChain LangGraph LlamaIndex or similar ecosystems. Some hands-on experience building or contributing to agentic systems is desirable.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Microservices: Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes EKS Docker or similar platforms.
- Infrastructure Tools: Familiarity with tools like Terraform CloudFormation or Ansible for managing infrastructure as code.
- Linux/Unix Environments: Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments for development and deployment tasks.
- CI/CD Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Harness Jenkins or similar systems.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and understanding of collaborative development workflows.
- Quality & Testing: Strong commitment to delivering production-grade code with familiarity across different testing strategies. Ability to write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests with experience adopting test-driven development (TDD) approaches to ensure high-quality maintainable code.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Good analytical skills with an emphasis on debugging performance optimization and fault tolerance.
- Agile & Collaboration: Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to thrive in dynamic and cross-functional team environments.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4 years of experience in backend software development.
