Job Summary

Front of House Captain - helps to open/close EMPAC building on non-event days completes tasks assigned by FOH prep workstation for the day. Assist with ticket sales customer service and day of event management. Supervision of student workers.

Sr. Front of House Captain - opens/closes EMPAC building independently on event/non-event days. Work closely with visiting artists to arrange event area set up and/or run registration table handle cleanup of event space and other affected areas. Supervises student workers both ushers and front desk staff. Assists with planning/prep for events. Manage/run events independently in absence of FOH staff.

Event Technician I - Camera Shader / Production Assistant

Event Technician II - Camera Operator / Lighting Technician

Event Technician III - Director / Assoc. Director / Score Reader / Technical Director / Video Editor

Production Technician I - Stage Hand / Deck Crew / Running Crew

Production Technician II - Stage Electrician / Stage Carpenter / Rigger / Wardrobe Manager / Lighting Console Operator / Art Handler

Production Technician III - Sr. Art Handler / Production Tech. Supervisor / Stage Manager / Sr. Rigger

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) or more years related experience

Relevant combinations of education training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education
  • Experience directly supporting events performing arts and/or media production

Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Technical proficiency
  • Customer service
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Strong communication skills

Shift

The positions described above are part-time as needed positions - weekends and/or evenings required

Rates of Pay (per hour)
  • Front of House Captain: $16.50 - $20.00
  • Sr. Front of House Captain: $19.00 - $23.50

  • Production Technician I: $15.50 - $19.50
  • Production Technician II: $17.00 - $22.50
  • Production Technician III: $22.00 - $30.00

  • Event Technician I: $15.00 - $19.50
  • Event Technician II: $19.50 - $27.00
  • Event Technician III: $27.00 - $60.00
