What are we looking for

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Charge Nurse to join our Acute Admissions Unit team with a competitive salary range on offer up to 64890 depending upon experience.

This is a Monday-Sunday Days Nights and Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

  • 6 week rota of 19 shifts

  • 08:00 20:30 and 20:00 08:30

  • This role will involve overtime

In the Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) we care for patients experiencing acute medical or surgical conditions. Our skilled nursing team works collaboratively to identify patient needs and plan effective interventions. Our goal is to provide patients a smooth journey to recovery and positive patient this role you will be responsible for the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care of patients requiring triage acute assessment and admission under indirect supervision from senior staff.

What will your duties include

  • Manages the Acute Admissions Unit when on duty with overall continuing clinical responsibility in order to carry out safe delivery of care to a complex group of patients.

  • Acts as a clinical leader and role model whilst providing direct quality patient care sharing expertise with colleagues.

  • Contribute to the outreach and resus team rotas.

  • Organises the day to day running of the Acute Admissions Unit allocating nursing staff according to their level of competence reviews daily the units working patterns skill mix and workload to ensure they meet the needs of the service.

  • Ensures a safe environment for patients staff and visitors following the guidelines of risk management. Proactively reporting incidents risks and/or failings taking responsibility to minimise these.

What we need from you

  • NMC registered adult Nurse required

  • Experience of leading and managing change.

  • Can effectively manage conflict within the workplace and able to demonstrate high emotional intelligence when dealing with team and patients.

  • Demonstrable broad clinical and managerial experience in the field of acute admissions triage acute assessment.

  • Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field
