ILS Engineer

The role

As part of our Land & Aerospace group the ILS Support Engineer will embed with our customer in the Health Systems Project Office and supports the project in conducting ILS investigations and monitoring of the System Support issues the position is responsible for undertaking logistics engineering and obsolescence analysis activities in support of the JP2060 Ph 3 Support project for sustainment tasks.

Further the successful candidate will:

• Apply system level design to ensure technical integrity Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and schedule are maintained in the lower-level products
• Identify and develop requirements for the Support System
• Undertake logistics engineering for acquisition and sustainment projects
• Perform Codification and Cataloguing duties of Items of Supply in accordance with NATO specifications
• Collate all source data and manage ILS technical data to ensure Product Baselines are maintained
• Develop data for the development and production of ILS Technical Data including Technical Publications
• Author Technical Publications in accordance with Defence Standards

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

• Tertiary qualifications in Logistics Engineering Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent on the job experience
• Experience in Defence industry and its logistics practices and standards
• Sound experience in logistics and reliability and maintainability (R&M) engineering
• COTS based logistics experience
• Experience in the application of relevant military and commercial logistics standards
• Experience in LSA and R&M analysis activities and software tools
• Experience of specialist ILS tools and/or engineering data management systems

As a defence security clearance is required for this role applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes including ITAR.
