Job Summary
The Team
The Borrow design team at SoFi crafts seamless intuitive experiences across our lending products helping members borrow with confidence and realize their ambitions.
Borrowing can feel overwhelming and complex. As product designers our role is to reduce friction increase clarity and build trust in highstakes decisionheavy moments. We shape the future of loan origination by delivering new features and improving current experiences that help members understand options qualify and get to yes faster.
The lending journey has two key milestones: applying for a loan and once funded paying on time. This role focuses on the first milestone from product education and discovery through prequalification application verification and offer selection.
The Role
As a Senior Designer it will be your responsibility to shape the future of personal finance by delivering new features optimizing our existing products holding a high standard for excellence and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary set of stakeholders. Youll work on one or more efforts concurrently within a particular product area. Additionally youll coordinate with designers and researchers within your product area and related areas to bring the best experiences to life for our members.

Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize define and design product features from start-to-finish across mobile and web platforms
- Collaborate closely with Research Content Design Product Management and Engineering partners to iterate and drive solutions towards member & business outcomes
- Develop effective design solutions based on research member insights and industry best-practices (across finance and tech)
- Present design concepts and clearly communicate design intent through design specs and presentations
- Collaborate with other product designers working on other projects to drive alignment and cohesiveness across the entire user experience
- Share work early and often for wide visibility and alignment
Qualifications
- 5 yrs experience of experience working in product design/UX roles
- Strong design point of view and aesthetic
- Strong expertise in common design tools (ie. Figma Adobe Creative Suite etc)
- Expertise in mobile and web UX best practices across iOS Android and responsive web
- Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams including product management engineering and marketing
- Ability to translate user research user needs and product data to make informed design solutions
- Track record for delivering end to end solutions from initial concepts to measurable outcomes
- Experience presenting work and rationale to leaders and advocating for user needs in the context of business goals and technology requirements
- Experience working in a highly collaborative fast-paced agile environment using tools like Jira and Confluence
- A portfolio URL or PDF to submit with the application with examples of mobile and responsive web product design
