Role Summary/Purpose
The US Regional EEDP Leader will act as the direct manager for US Edison Engineers and own their program experience. This work includes rotation management offboarding and recruitment (including recruitment for the US EID pipeline). In addition this individual will be a Technical Trainer responsible for evolving and executing part of Wind Engineerings Advance Courses in Engineering (ACE) program including B-Course and C-Course ACE projects in conjunction with the Technical Training Leader.
In the US Edison Engineers are located in Greenville SC and Schenectady NY.
Essential Responsibilities
US Regional Leader (60%):
Manage and Mentor:
Be the in-person direct manager to US EEDP members for their duration on program
Support program members personal and professional development
Ensure program members follow EEDP policies
Recruitment Lead:
Actively drive US recruiting based on headcount major and skill needs from local Engineering Leaders
Review resumes for candidate applicability complete phone screens
Conduct interviews with Recruiting / Talent Acquisition teams work with HR to issue offer letters / contracts
Facilitate onboarding and help organize Kickoff activities
Facilitate Transitions:
Manage rotations and offboarding placement of US Edisons
Solicit diversified rotations / offboarding positions
Review program member rotation selection and work with Global Leader to match by business need track and seniority
Coach the Assignment Leaders to ensure they are clear on rotation expectations and training of program members
Technical Training (40%):
Own execute and improve B-Course with technical subject matter experts relevant to Wind Energy including:
Technical Seminars (globally)
Team Projects (globally)
Hands-on Training (globally with Regional EEDP Leader support)
Continuous Learning (globally)
Share ownership of C-Course requirements specifically related to ACE Projects
Work with Engineering Early Career Development Team to cross-train with non-Edison engineers
General:
Other duties as assigned by the Wind Edison Global Program Leader
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university
Working understanding of GE Vernovas Wind business
