For this role in Oakville Ontario The hourly wage range for this position isCAD $25 to $35 per hour. The actual wage offered will be determined based on factors such as education experience knowledge skills abilities applicable market data for the work location and internal equity considerations.
Come join us at Terrestrial Energy a US developer of advanced Generation IV nuclear reactors. We are growing our workforce to develop and deploy our Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) small modular nuclear plant to provide cost-competitive clean firm heat and power to industry.

- Have the specific skillset and experience for the following role:
The Reactor Physics Intern under the direction of the Physics Manager is primarily responsible for performing reactor physics analyses and design assessments using reactor physics computer codes and analytical techniques.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Perform sensitivity analyses of postulated design concepts and options for reactivity control and power regulation
- Programming in MATLAB and scripting of complex algorithms within both a WINDOWS and LINUX environment
- Analyze graphite performance and graphite structure in a high radiation environment of a molten salt reactor
- Communicate and work with various technical disciplines to understand system design(s) and interfacing requirements
- Prepare written reports of assessments
- Exposure to nuclear design concepts principles regulations codes and standards.

- Some knowledge of state-of-the-art Monte Carlo calculation computer codes (such as MCNP SERPENT and SCALE)
- Proficient or working knowledge in MATLAB
Professional Skills

- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Effective communication skills within a technical team environment
Assets:
- Work or intern experience in physics with focus in reactor physics.
