Position Summary
This is a part-time hourly position for a technician in the installation and operation of large touring theatrical road shows (e.g. Ice sporting) rock & roll shows and other large stage performances. This individual should have the ability to follow direction and be an on the job learner. This is a union position with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 3.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $22.86 (per CBA)
Benefits: As outlined in union contract.
This position will remain open until April 24 2026.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are examples but are not limited to the various types of job responsibilities.
- Load and unload road cases scenery and materials from loading dock.
- Assemble and disassemble scenery stage equipment and auxiliary items such as brocade.
- Set up audio and lighting equipment theatrical equipment microphones props and auxiliary equipment as needed for the show or event.
- Assist with video sound and light production and/or maintenance.
- Ability to lift and push/pull objects weighing up to 50lb or move.
- Work with audio engineers electricians carpenters and other backstage personnel.
- Rigging which include raising motors while standing in the grid high in the air. Pulling up a lot of weight as well as lowering it onto stage.

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Will be required to join the union upon invitation following 90-day probationary period
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
- Ability to work irregular hours including night shifts weekends and holidays Shifts are Midnight 8:00 am with occasional daylight shifts as necessary.

- This position will require a large amount of walking stair climbing and standing to access all seating areas.
- The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
- This position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings and may be subject to adverse conditions.
- This position may be exposed to high noise levels. Lifting and push/pull up to 50lb.
