Job Summary

Direct Hire

Production Supervisor: All shifts available 1st 2nd and 3rd

Supervises staff and operations of all departments within the Plant. Maintains production schedules Plans and assigns work performs pre-shift meetings trains employees and has authority for hiring termination discipline and performance decisions. Responsible for maintaining product quality standards. Performs and oversees inspections and audits. Assists Support Departments in the Plant to troubleshoot production problems and take preventive or corrective action. Recommends changes to improve quality and reduce costs. Makes sure all employees follow all Company rules and Regulations SOPs and Policies.

1st shift 6am-2:30pm

2nd shift 2p-10:30p

3rd shift 10p-6a

Responsibilities:

Train and coach production line employees.

Coordinateproductionstartupsshutdownsandchangeovers.

Conductemployeeperformancereviews.

Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations employee training employeevacationsemployeebreaksovertimeassignmentback-upforabsentemployeesandshift rotations. CoordinatewithHumanResourcesandPlantManager forappropriatestaffinglevels

Schedule and conduct shift meetings

Responsibletomeetshiftproductiongoals.

Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.

Operatewithinstandardoperatingprocedures(SOPs)andJobSafetyAnalysis(JSAs).

CommunicatewithotherShiftSupervisorsandPlantManager.

Completeshiftpaperwork.

Assistinproductionasnecessary.

Requirements:

Familiarity with weld operations

Prior Supervisory experience

Union environment a plus

MS Office products ( Word Excel Outlook)

Knowledge of manufacturing processes
